Important upcoming events and publications for April 15 (GMT):

12:30 Empire State Manufacturing Index from NY Fed dropped sharply since the end of last year, becoming an additional warning sign of the business activity cooling in the U.S. In April’s assessment it is expected growth from 3.7 to 8.1 against average for 2018 near 20. Impact on USD: Moderate.

14:30 BoC Business Outlook and Senior Loan Officer during the last year showed significant deterioration, partly caused by fears around trade wars and partly due to the monetary policy tightening. A pause in raising rates by the Bank of Canada and softer rhetoric in previous months can have a positive impact on the indicator. Impact on CAD: medium.
